The Small-Bird Pest.
Pursuant to the provisions of The Birds Nuisance Act, 1902, the Governor is empowered from time to time to divide the whole or any portion of the colony into districts by Orderin Council in order to insure concerted and simultaneous action, and, further, to appoint times and places at which the respective conference of delegates of the local authorities existent within the boundaries of the aforementioned districts shall meet. The following are the boundaries of the Middle Otago district, as gazetted, together with the local authorities sending delegates to the conference for the district, and the times and places of such conference : Middle Otago District.—Comprising the Counties of Vincent, Tuapeka, Bruce, Clutha ; including the Boroughs of Alexandra, Cromwell, Balclutha, Kaitangata, Milton, Lawrence, Roxburgh, and Tapanui; and the Town District of Clinton ;—the local authorities sending delegates being v the respective counties and borough councils and town board ;—and the time and place of the conference for this district being at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 4th, 1903, at the office of the Bruce County Council, at Milton.
