Alexandra School.
The first meeting of the newly-elected committee of the above school was held on Friday evening last, when there were present —Mesars Laidlaw, M'Knigbt, Campbell, Buchanan and Anderson. Mr Buchanan was voted to the chair. On the motion of Mr Anderson, seconded by Mr Campbell, Mr James Kelman was unanimously elected chairman for the ensuing year. Mr F. Young was re-elected as clerk to the committee. It was resolved that the meetings be held, as hitherto, on the first Friday in each ttOßttt,
