Meetings of Householders.
BALD HILL FLAT. The annual meeting of householders held at Bald Hill Flat, on Monday, April 27th, to elect a school committee, resulted in the following gentlemen being elected:—Messrs John Butler, Pierce Carreil, John Dowdall, Charles Dougherty, Arthur Gustafson, D. Dimond, and Patrick Carroll. Mr Butler has been appointed chairman and Mr Patrick Carroll clerk. EARNSHLEUGH. About sixteen householders were present at the annual meeting of householders at Earnscleugh on Monday, 27th ult. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £5 16s 2d. The following gentlemen were elected a committee for the ensuing year : Messrs A. C, Iversen, J. Hawley, A. King, D. M'lntosh, W. Jamieson, J. Thomson, and M. M'Giunis. At a subsequent meeting of the new committee, Mr M'Ginnis was appointed chairman, and Mr Thomson clerk. CLYDE. At the householders meeting at Clyde the following gentlemen were elected as a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs Smart, Jeffery, Nay lor, Holt, Taylor, Henderson, and Wilson, SPRINGVALE. There was a good attendance at the householders' meeting at Springvale on the 27th ult. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £l2 17s. The retiring chairman (Mr M'Namara) in his remarks referred in complimentary terms to the ability of the teacher (Miss B. Spence). The following were nominated for the new committee: — Messrs A Gunn, A M'Kenzie, D Cameron, J Love, E H Johnson, H Symbns, and H Scott, On a ballot being taken the first five were declared duly elected. At a subsequent meeting Mr Gunn was appointed chairman and Mr Johnson secretary.
