Obituary.

MR JOHN M'DONNELL, Jun. ! We regret to; have to record the death of Mr John McDonnell, junior, of Bald Hill Flat, who passed away Buddenly on Wednesday evening of last week, at the early age of 23 years. The deceased young man had been in failing health for the past year or two, and the end was not altogether unexpected. . He was universally esteemed for his kindly disposition, and general sympathy is expressed for the bereaved parents and relatives in their untimely affliction. The remains were interred in the Alexandra cemetery on Saturday, a large concourse of friends attending. The funeral service at the grave was read by the Rev. Father Hunt. MRS CHURSTAIN; It is also our painful duty to report the death of Mrs Churstain, an esteemed resident of Alexandra, who passed to " where beyond these voices there is peace " on Thursday last, after a short illness. During her residence of a few years in our town, the deceased lady won the regard of all with whom she came in contact, and the goodness of her nature will long be cherished as a pleasant memory by a host of friends. The deceased lady leaves a grown-up family of two sons and two daughters, her husband "having pre-deceased her by some years. The remains were interred in the Alexandra cemetery on Friday last, in the presence of a large circle of friends, the Rev. W. A. R. Fitchett officiating at the grave.
