REDUCTION OF WAGES.
TO THE EDITOR. Sk,—l quite agree with "Breadwinner" in your last issue. The Dredgemen's Union, in common with mapy others now-a-days, are goin# far too far. My notion is they are too well off. Fancy these gentry turning up their noses at having to work a little overtime now and again, and wanting pay" for it, too. They can afford to prance about on their bikes, toffed up, and live in grand houses, like lords of the land, while other men who have to work harder get 2s a day less, and the -work not steady at that. There are plenty of idle men in the country from the other side and there should be no difficulty in filling vacanices at 8s a day. lam with "Breadwinner" and vote for reduction,—l am, &c., True Blue.
