It measures a foot in circumference, and wbtn one wea exhibited recently in a florist's window In San Francisco, peopla literally flocked to see it, says the Philadelphia Saturday Erening Post. It is really a new kind of flower, and has been produced by a«T«ral years of crossing and selection, three different kinds of daisies being used —the common American specie*, the larger and coarser European sort and the Japanese daisy. There are throe rows of petals of the pureat white, and each blossom Is upheld by a single strong and wiry stem -Which is nearly two feat long. One advantage of the Shasta daily ia said to be that it ia exceedingly hardy, enduring much cold, so that it ea,n be grown <rut-of-dooTf. It It elaimad that it prospers in almost any kind of soil, blooms all summer long (in California nearly all tha year round) and may be rapidly multiplied by diriding the roots. , A peculiarity of this new and beautiful blossom ia that it socmetfcnea ahowa colors, indicating that daisies of T**ioub huea and of gigantic sis* may h* placed on tha market before loaf. ,
