Sib, —There ia some talk of cooperation in storekeeping, baking, and butchering in Alexandra ; but what we want is co-6j3eration to put down the petty thieving that goes on'in this town/ •(Petty," T called it'; but it is not always-petty. Timber, iron, paint, groceries, clothing—in fact, everything is stolen. The talked-of Vigilance Committee should be got together, and no matter who the delinquents may be, they should be put in a safe place for a month or two.—l am,;&c., v A Victim.
