Missionaries in China.
THE KWANG SI REBELS. A telegram in an American journal, despatched from British Columbia, on November 21»t, says :—Advices have been received from South China that the Kwang Si rebels have invaded Keteichou province and are proclaiming that their object is not to ravage Kuechon province, but, as their placards put it, "to borrow a passage to Bze Ohuan," whither they were bound to assist the Boxers of that province. They invaded Heingyihsien, in Kuechou, which city fell into their hands, and many of the villagers were slaughtered. The government troops sent to relieve the city were within one day'B march when it fell. Hearing of the success of the rebels, they retired over the Kwang Si border. The Boxers in Sze Chuan are posting placards in the villages to the effect the authority of Lao Ohuin, our patron, and at the will of the sage Confucius, they will fulfil the will of Heaven by murdering all the foreign devils in China, who continue to propagate their doctrines and exterminate all such as enter their churches or become their followers.
