SOVIET DEMAND TO FINLAND

SURRENDER SOUGHT OF “WAR CRIMINALS” HELSINKI, March 11. Russia has made a fresh demand for the extradition of Soviet war criminals from Finland in a Note handed to Finland’s Minister in Moscow. The Finnish Foreign Office refused to comment on the Note. On J)ecember 31 Moscow demanded the extradition of 300 “Soviet war criminals.” Finland has arrested several people, hut none is yet reported to have been sent to Russia. Reuter says that the Finnish police have traced only four of the 300. All the rest except one have either escaped abroad or gone underground.
