CLAIM REJECTED
SHIPBUILDERS’ WAGE INCREASE
(Rec. 10.10.) LONDON, March 1. The Shipbuilding Employers' Federation to-day rejected the claim for an all-round £1 sterling a week wage increase, which trade unionists had suggested should come out of profits.
The Council of the Confederation of Shipbuilding and Engineering Unions, representing 37 unions, will meet on March 1 9’ to' consider the rejection.— (Reuter),
