POSTPONED CARNIVAL Heavy rain caused the postponement of the Methven Amateur Swimming Club’s annual carnival which was to have been held on February 11. The carnival will now be held on Saturday next.' Much interest is being shown by members of outside clubs, and very large entries have been received for all events. Local swimmers have shown much keenness during the season, and many young swimmers are showing great promise. The bath lias been repainted and 1 good seating accommodation provided, and all that is necessary for a record carnival is fine weather. As usual a dance will follow in the Lvndhurst Hall.
