HAGGIS PUZZLES EGYPTIANS
Part of a haggis, flown from Britain under a Board of Trade export licence, was impounded by the Egyptian Food Ministry. Officials will now try to establish if it is “food fit for human consumption.” The major portion of the haggis, however, reached the Turf Club in time for the St. Andrew’s night celebrations of Scots in Cairo. A few days ago .after it had been ordered from a London store, it seemed doubtful whether an export licence could be obtained.
