INDIA DENIES THREAT

MESSAGE SENT TO PAKISTAN (Rec. 9.0) NEW DELHI, February 28. The Indian Prime Minister (Pandit Nehru) has sent a message to the Prime Minister of Pakistan (Mr Liaquat Ali Khan), denying that his address to the Indian Parliament on February 23 contained a threat to Pakistan. Pandit Nehru said in his address that Mr Liaquat Ali Khan had rejected India’s proposals for settling her differences wih Pakistan. Pandit Nehru added: “If the methods we have suggested are not agreed to, maybe we shall have to adopt other methods.”
