FALL FROM TRAIN

ELDERLY MAN KILLED (P.A.) LEVIN .This Day. An elderly man was killed at 5.30 this morning, when he fell from the Palmerston North-Wellington express while the train was about half a mile north of Manakau railway : station. He was: John Young, Paraparaumu Beach, aged about 85 years. Young joined the train at Levin, and was goiflg to Manakau. He was seen sitting in a carriage doorway. Further down the line railway employees observed him clinging to the carriage rail with the door closed behind him.
