CABLE FROM NEW ZEALAND

COMMENT ON TORIES Good wishes for the success of his party in the British General Election are contained in a cable sent to Mr Attlee to-day by the New Zealand LaParty and the New Zealand Federation of Labour. The cable, which is signed by the national secretary ol' each organisation (Messrs A. J. McDonald and K. McL. Baxter),, conveyed the good wishes of the combined Labour movement of New Zealand and added: “The rapidity with which the new Tory Government in New Zealand is sweeping away Labour’s beneficial legislation for the masses indicates what would happen in Britain under Toryism.”
