FEEDING RAMS BEFORE SERVICE - A growing number of enterprising farmers are now feeding a high-pro-tein concentrate to rams before service, not as an isolated experiment, or simply to stud stock, but as an established routine. The value of this has now been amply demonstrated, and the quantities that need to be fed are relatively so small that no sheep man aiming at maximum efficiency in an era of high ■ prices can afford not to adopt this cheap and simple procedure. Feeding a low protein supplement is no good as carbohydrate foods tend to fatten and make the ‘ram sluggish. Dried up pastures are already low in protein and so what is wanted is a high protein food to* balance up, and make the ram active. “MOOSE” Nuts or Meal is the supplement used by most progressive farmers. High in protein and essential minerals, “MOOSE” its unsurpassed for this purpose. “MOOSE,” in the form of Nuts or Meal, should be fed at the rate of 4 to S ounces‘per day starting several weeks before service. Order “MOOSE” from your merchant. —(Ailvt.)
