SECOND TRIAL
FORMER ITALIAN COMMANDER (Rec. 10 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 19. Marshal Graziani, former commander of the Italian armed forces, goes on trial on Thursday on charges of collaboration and the execution of Italian partisans, reports, the United Press Rome correspondent. Five Italian generals will try him at, a Rome military tribunal. The defence has called as witnesses several high German military officers, including Field-Marshal Kesselring, German commander in Italy during the war. , „ This will be the' second trial of Graziani. A Rome civil tribunal tried him a year ago on the same charges. After eight months’ court proceedings, Graziani became too ill, and the court declared it had no jurisdiction over the matter.
