RUHR STEEL EMBARGO
BAN TO BE LIFTED NEXT MONTH BONN, February 15. The ban on-West German steel exports to the Soviet zone will be lifted on March 15. The ban was imposed on February 6 after' consultation with the Allies because East Germany had overdrawn its credit limit under the East-West trade agreement, but the ban was also described as partly a reprisal for Russian interference with lorry traffic in and out of Berlin.
