TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO (From the “Guardian,” Feb. 16, 1925). Indicator out of Action —For some time the indicator on the water tower was out of action, with the result that engineers at the power-house could not tell when the tank was full. As a consequence, water was often pumped in when it was full, and ran to waste in the river. The indicator is now in working order again.—Band to Pass Through: The St. Kilda Band will play a musical selection on the railway station platform to-morrow afternoon. / The band will travel north by the first express, en route to Auckland, where it will take part in the Dominion contest.
