CAR LOANS

DISABLED SERVICEMEN (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 14. The basis of eligibility for the £2OO special grants to help severely disabled servicemen of both world wars to buy motor-cars was explained today by the Minister of Rehabilitation (Mr T. L. Macdonald). He said that, unless a former servicemen had 85 per cent, locomotive disability or unless the sum of his disabilities would affect lomomotion to the same extent as an 85 per cent, locomotive case, then the application would be outside the policy, except in exceptional circumstances. In instances where disability could not be clearly stated as at least 85 per cent, locomotive the case was considered on its merits by the Rehabilitation Board.
