WOMEN’S DIVISION
RAKAIA BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Ralcaia branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers was presided over by Mrs E. M. Duncan. There was a good attendance of. members. Sympathy in the illness of some of our members was expressed. One new member was welcomed. It was decided to accept Mrs Marshall’s invitation to bold our next meeting at her home, the date to be arranged later. Miss R. Kingan gave a delightful talk on her recent visit into a distant Maori settlement. Mrs E. M. Duncan extended thanks to Miss Kingan. Following this .the hostesses Mesdames Shellock and Moodie conducted a competition, which was won by Mi’s A. M. Duncan. Competitions resulted: Rag mat, Mrs E. M. Duncan 1, Mrs Fletcher 2; bloom, Mrs J. Johnson 1, Mrs Sargent 2, Mrs Hood 3; spike, Mrs Dent I, Mrs Hollis 2, Mrs Fletcher 3; vase of flowers, Mrs Hood 1, Mrs Stewart 2, Mrs Fletcher 3.
