AIR RAIDS ON DRESDEN

COMMUNIST CRITICISM OF WESTERN POWERS LONDON, Feb. 13. Propaganda against the bombing of Dresden five years ago by the Western Powers is being spread in the Soviet zone of Germany. Traffic in the province of Saxony, of which Dresden is the capital, was stopped for one minute at mid-day to-aay. The Communist Prime Minister (Mr Max Seydewitz) said that the demonstration was against the wanton waste of German life in the bombing of Dresden.

The official Soviet newspaper said that the bombing was typical of Fascism and Imperialism. A' British spokesman said that the Americans bombed Dresden in February, 1945, in response to two urgent requests from Russian troops who were fighting east of the city.
