Import Licensing Period Except for shipments in the Royal Star, for which a special exception has been made, the 1949 import licensing period will close on February 28, according to a telegram from the Minister of Customs (Mr C. M. Bowden) to the Bureau of Importers, Auckland. The telegram was in reply to a request by the bureau for an extension of the period.—P.A.
