TRUCK HITS CAR

, A MR. ALF BRAY INJURED Shortly after 9 o’clock this morning, a car driven by Mr Alf Bray was struck by a lorry in Victoria Street. Mr Bray sustained a cut on the head, and a severe shaking, but the. injuries are. not regarded as serious. The truck, belonging to Burnett Motors, and driven by Mr William Lyon Findlay, was proceeding west along Victoria Street and struck the car, which was turning in the street, opposite M. S. gangster’s bakery. The' car was swung round, mounted the pavement and came to rest against the shop front. The glass in the window was not broken, even though the concrete foundation was cracked. Mr Bray’s car was crushed in on the left side, but escaped comparatively lightly. The truck driver was not injured and the truck suffered only minor damage.
