N.Z. HOCKEY TEAM
manager chosen s' “ "" (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Mr Keith C. Falconer, of Wellington, was appointed manager of the New Zealand hockey team for the tour of Australia this year by the New Zealand Hockey Association, at a meeting last evening.
Mr Falconer is a New Zealand and North Island selector, and has been secretary of the Wellington Hockey Association for some years.
Nominations for the team will close on May 16, and trials will be held in conjunction with the North-Sbuth in-ter-island game at Wanganui on June 3 and the challenge shield match at Palmerston North on June 5. The departure date of the team has been advanced to June 22, and the team will return on August 6.
