ROYAL TOUR
Plans Now Being Drawn Up LONDON, Feb. 12. Plans for a 1953 tour of New Zealand and Australia by their Majesties and Princess Margaret are now being drawn up for his Majesty’s approval, states the “Sunday Express.” The tour would be on less strenuous lines than originally intended.. The Royal party would leave Britain early in 1952. His Majesty’s general health has recently shown a marked improvement from the illness which forced the cancellation of the trip planned, early in 1949. He will return to London, from an eight weeks’ rest in Sandringham this week to face a spring and summer programme of engagements as heavy as any in the past, including the State opening of Parliament on March 6 and a State visit by the French President (M. Vincent Auriol) in the following four days.
