SUPERSONIC PLANES
armament handicap (Rec. 9.30) WASHINGTON, Feb. 10. The United States and Russia had no practical supersonic military plane, Mr John Victory, American aviation expert, said to-day. Mr Victory, who is executive secretary of thri National Aeronautics Advisory Committee, said, that United States planes ; could go faster than sound' only when unarmed. He added that Russia was ahead of the United States both in aircraft production and in the number of military planes m service, but the* United States considered that it had better planes. -
