Dr. Weizmann urged the Zioipst Congress to negotiate on the basis of the British plan, provided the Jews were awarded a new section, including Jerusalem, and that the absolute independence of the new Jewish State was guaranteed, and areas for Jewish colonisation provided within the mandated territory. ZIONIST CONGRESS DISCUSSION. ZURICH, August 5. The Zionist Congress decided to discuss in camera the political aspects of the proposals regarding the partition of Palestine.
