AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE
MUSTERING OF RESOURCES. (United Press Association—Copyright.) SYDNEY, August 6. The Canberra correspondent of the Sydney “Sun” says that national security measures in Australia have been advanced by the Commonwelth Defence Council to a stage where, in the event of war, the whole resources of the Commonwealth could be organised at a minute’s notice. The council has made a complete survey of all aspects of ' industrial transport and other activities, and has mapped out a co-ordinated plan to place tho nation on a, war footing in which each section of the people will have its duties clearly defined. Sir Archdale Parkliill (Minisrcr for Defence) announced that similar action had been taken in New Zealand after consultations between the Australian and New Zealand Governments last year, and also in London recently.
