NEW BRIDGE
OVER THE HINDS RIVER. EARLY SURVEY TO BE MADE. ADVICE TO COUNTY COUNCIL. Advice has been received by the Ashburton County Council that the Publio Works Department has decided to place a new bridge over the Hinds River this year and that the survey work would be carried, out at an early date. The present bridge is a high structure where many accidents have occurred through motor vehicles meeting after climbing the steep, narrow approaches, and numerous requests for the widening of the bridge or the building of a new one have been made to tlie authorities bv the Council.
