STAY-IN ENDED.
ADELAIDE GAS WORKS DISPUTE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) ADELAIDE, August 3. Tho stay-in strike by 450 men employed by the South Australian Gas Company, which began at 8 o’clock yesterday morning, ended to-day. A compromise was reached on the increase in wages demanded by the men, who have now resumed work.
The strike was organised as a protest against the refusal of the company to hold a conference on the demand of the employees for a new award.
