BASKETBALL.

TO PLAY AGAINST ASHBURTON. CANTERBURY TEAMS’ MATCHES. Canterbury’s second senior and senior B teams will travel to Ashburton on Saturday, where they will compete against the Ashburton senior and senior B teams for the 12th consecutive year. Of the 11 matches played, Canterbury 's senior team has won 10, the one match lost being in 1927. The senior B team hag defeated Ashburton eight times, lost twice, and drawn once. Mrs R. Lane and Mrs W- T. McKenzie will travel to Ashburton with the teams. Having passed the New Zealand practical examination, Mrs Lane is now a fully-qualified New Zealand 1 >referee.
