DOMINION PRODUCE. HIGH COMMISSIONERS REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated July 30, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — Tallow.—Market continues on spot with prices unchanged. Hemp—Manila: Market dull and easier; buyers holding back. ‘K’ grade fqr July-September and August-Octo-ber shipments quoted sellers £3l 15s. Sisal: Market quiet; steadier at the close. June-August shipments sold £27 August-October £27 7s 6d to £27 15s. New Zealand: Market nominal; no first hand sales > reported. Apples—Fair demand but no' improvement in prices. Granny Smith 12s to 14s, Dougherty 11s to 13s, Hokewood, Yates 9s to 11s, Tasma 9s to 10s 6d, Stunner, Newton Pippin and Rome Beauty 9s to 10s. Peas Maples: Demand slow, ‘A’ grade Tasmanian afloat sold 55s to 565, values (word mutilated) 56s 6d to 575. No. 1 New Zealand for August-Septem-ber shipments sold recently 545. Blues: Slightly better demand early - this month. ‘A’ grade Tasmanian sold for July-August shipments £l2.

Up to £6 5s is being offered in the country, with £6 10s for deliveries a fortnight hence. The fowl wheat is now payable. Potatoes—Prompt, Dakotas, £6 5s white, £5 10s. The following are quotations to farmers on trucks at country stations, sacks extra unless otherwise stated:— Milling Wheat —F.a.q. Tuscan 5s 4sd, Hunters 5s 6jd, Pearl 5s B£d (August delivery). Fowl Wheat G.w.f. 5s B*d, f.0.b.; under-grade, 4s lOd to 5s (according bo quality). Oats—Gartons 2s 9d to 3s 3d, Algerians, 2s 8d to 3s; Duns, 2s 6d to 3s 3d (according to quality). Cocksfoot—4d to XOd (according to quality). Ryegrass —Perennial, 2s 9d to 3s 3d (according to quality); Italian, 2s 9d to 3s. White Clover—Bd to lOd. Cowgrass—6d to 7d.
