WALTER KIRBY’S BEQUESTS. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, July 31. “The Daily Herald” says: “Walter Kirby left £7OOO to Wantage Cottage Hospital, and £7OOO to Wantage Townlands charity.” The secretary of the hospital told “The Daily Herald” that the late Lady Wantage invited Mr Walter Kirby to sing at the. Soldiers’ Home during the war. Apparently he was so impressed that this helped him in his career, and it is believed the bequests were made to show his gratitude.
