COMMON ASSAULT.

VERDICT BY A JURY. (Per Press Association.! PALMERSTON NORTH, July 30. Found guilty on a charge of common assault, Hector James McDonald, a farm manager, was ordered by tlie Chief Justice (the Rt. Hon. Sir Michael Myers) to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months. McDonald is at present serving a sentence of 12 months’ imprisonment imposed at Christchurch on July 1. McDonald was charged here with indecent assault on a female. It was alleged that he kissed her when interviewing her' regarding employment. The jury found him guilty of common assault only..
