SECOND EXPERIMENTAL FLIGHT. CROSSING IN UNDER 15 HOURS. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, lO.lETa.m.) BOTWOOD (Newfoundland), July 30. The Imperial Airways flying-boat Cambria arrived at 5 a.m. (Eastern standard time), having taken 14 hours 48 minutes on the journey from Foynes (Ireland). She reported that heavy head-winds were -encountered en route. WIRELESS CONTACTS. (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, July 30. The Cambria and the Pan-American Clipper reached their respective destinations within ten minutes of each other. Wireless contacts with the ’planes were maintained throughout their journeys by both craft, which passed .one another in mid-Atlantic shortly before dawn, when they were eight miles apart.— British Official Wireless.
