ELECTION OF OFFICERS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 29. The following officers were elected at the annual conference of the New Zealand South African Veterans’ Association : President, Mr B. Ellis (Dunedin); ’vice-presidents, Mr J. V. Scott (Gisborne), Major H. M. Richardson (Blenheim), Mr G. N. Cress well (Christchurch), Major P. E. De Brandon (Wellington), Mr R. N. Todd (Invercargill), Mr A. E. Bertram (Auckland), Mr H. W. Watt (Tauranga), Mr T. McWhirter (Taranaki); committee, Captain J. J. Clark, Messrs R. H. Aldrich, R, Anderson (Wellington), -V. J. Harper, A. G. Johnstone (Hutt Valley) and E. Hogg (Levin); lion, auditor, Mr J. L. Arcus; lion, solicitor, the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C.; Dominion treasurer, Captain C. F. Bishop; representative' on headquarters Re-estab-lishment League, Captain J. J. Clark; representatives on N.Z.R.S.A., Messrs J. I, Goldsmith and J. Cowdrey; secretary, Mr H. J. E. Tilling. It was agreed that the next annual conference, to bo held in Christchurch, should be held during the second week of July next year.
