LATE COMMERCIAL.
PROPERTIES AT AUCTION. LAND SOLD AT ALLENTON. Three properties were submitted for sale at auction this afternoon by Mr R. Stephenson, two being offered in conjunction with Mr W. H. Amos. Offered on account of the Estate of Edwin P. Thomas, a section of 2 roods 11 perches, situated at 215 East Street, was passed in at £575. Three acres of land and sheds at Allenton, offered in the Estate of Sarah Wilson as mortgagees, were sold for a total of £l6O to Mr George Harris. A half-acre and dwelling in Cox Street was offered in the estate of Mr David Amos, but no bids were received. PIGS AND POULTRY. PRICES REALISED TO-DAY. The following prices were realised at the weekly pig and poultry sales held in Ashburton to-day:— Pigs—Baconers £4 6s 6d, stores 21s to 28s 6d, weaners and slips 12s 6d to 19s. Poultry—Hens Is 7d to 4s 4d, roosters 2s 4d to 4s 7d, geese 2s 3d to 2s 9d each, ducks Is 6d to 4s 4d per pair.
