A Newport News telegram states that what is considered to be an indication of the Ranger’s chances of defending the America’s Cup against Mr T. O. M. Sopwith’s Endeavour 11. occurred in the trial race in which she defeated group class J yachts, including the First Endea.vour, in 9 minutes. 30 seconds.
