As a result of the happenings, - on Thursday last, four Samoans- 1 appeared before the Chief Judge (Mr Joseph Moiling) and the Associate-Judge, Anapu, to-day. They pleaded guilty to all the charges.' Mose, Avho Avas charged with wilful mischief, being armed with a dangerous Aveapon, threatening behaviour and proA r oking a breach of the peace, was convicted ,and sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. Maae and Manumatuatua, who were charged Avith being in possession of unlicensed firearms, and discharging them in public, Avere convicted and sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. Lokeni, who Avas charged with a similar offence, Avas ' sentenced; to two Aveeks’ imprisonment. The Chief Judge,, in summing up, commented adversely on inappropriate ancient customs being carried out in the main streets among traffic.
