RAILWAY BRIDGE DAMAGED.
ARMED MEN HOLD UP PATROL. POSTS DELUGED IN PETROL. (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) -LONDON, July 28. The railway bridge at Dundalk was mined and party wrecked, and the traffic held up. The customs houses at various points on both sides of the boi'der have been blown np. Some were deluged in petrol and set on fire. A police patrol at Killeen was held up by armed men and forced to watch the customs huts blown to pieces. Four men were arrested at Armagh after a wide search. It is understood that rumours reached the authorities last week of the possibility of a demonstration during the Royal visit. Special precautions have been taken and police will be stationed on the roofs to watch the crowds during the Belfast drive. There will also he precautions in the prisons to avoid demonstrations by political prisoners. Railway bridges and cuttings are being examined for fear of further mines.
