THE SPRINGBOKS.
NEW ZEALAND TEAM FOR TEST.
CAUGHEY NOT TO TRAIN
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 27. The report circulated in Auckland that Caughey had been requested by four members of the New' Zealand Selection Committee to turn out in a club match next Saturday on account of their anxiety that he should go into training with the All Blacks for a week before the first test match against the Springboks is without foundation. Regarding the selection of the New Zealand team, Mr E. McKenzie, one of the selectors, said the names of the players to go into the training camp at Otaki for a week before the first test match in Wellington on August 14 would be announced in Wellington on Saturday week. He was not certain how many there would be in the camp, but he did not think the number would be fewer than 25. MANAWATU PREPARES FOR MATCH. PALMERSTON NORTH, July 27.
