RETURNING ON AUGUST 27

(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day

For two months a persistent rumour has been circulated that Mr Leslie Lefeaux is not returning to the governorship of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, having accepted a position with the Bank of India. The rumour is reliably' contradicted. Mr Lefeaux is due back in the Dominion on August 27.

An appointment was recently made to a high position in the Bank of India, the appointee being an English nobleman.
