Mrs Mary Doni-h Marshall, aged GO, died this rnorniug after taking poison. ■ . DANNNVJRKE, October 8. William Joseph Grant, mi til recently traveller for Messrs Barraud and Abraham, Palmerston North, and latterly salesman at tho firm's Darruevirke branch, was drowned in tho Manawatu River while trout fishing. He got into difficulties in a hole and was helped our unconscious by his companions. 'Efforts at •resuscitation failed.
