The church wa>s grucofnily decorated with white flow ens fo>r tho occasion, and with tho children staged tier above tier on an extensive platform, presented a very pleasing .appearance. Tho congregation in tho morning was very largo, and taxwl tho seating capacity of tho church to tho utmost, extra seats having to be provided. The sermon, which wa.s of v vlm-v high order, was directed chiefly io tho parents of the children, rlo preacher impressing' on them tho groai; responsibility that rested upo-j thetr as iho rightful trainers of their children. The sermon was much appreciated, as also was the very fine singing of iho children, who had been exceptionally well prepared by Mr R. Watt. Mr Ca-rier presided at the piano, and a string orchestral party added much to the pleasure and profit of all p'rey>nt.. Tho hymns had been specially ciiostn for, the ocoasionj and were well nmdoii'd.
