Mr J. G-.MAcConachie has been advised tliat to eldest son, Private Henry R. AfcCouachie, was wounded ok September 20.
Private William I'ennall, whose name appears in the list of killed in action, waa a son of SCr Thomas Pennall^or Greek Road, AUenton. He left for tha front about a year ago.
Mr M. Bropuv -has" received advice that his Bon, SfVgfiS»ut F. L. Brophy, was wounded in I'Yaaee on September I?-. Sergeant Brophy, who is 28 years of age, left v.-ifch the Ninth Reinforcements.
Private C. B. Harold, reported wounded in action in France, is the second eon of Mr T. Harold, of Fair-fi-kl. He fei't New Zealand''with the Ninth Reinforcements. Ho is 21 years of age. ''■■

Corporal Btanloy I. McCallum, reported wounded ii» the right leg and embarked for Knglaud, left New Zealand with tvs Eleventh Reinforcements. He ia n -son ol" Mr R. McCallum, Camerou Street, Ashburton, and is un ex-pupil of the local High School. He is 21 years of iige.
Advjico has been received that Corporal *J. M. Hampton, eldest son of Mr J. M. Hampton, Hinds, had been wounded on September 16. Corporal Hampton was a- member of the Main Expeditionary Force, and was wounded on Gollipoli and invalided home. Ho returned to Franco with tho Eleventh Reinforeemenifi.
Advice was received this morning by Mrs H. Styles, Cox that '■ her grandson, Private H. Hyde, who left with the Ninth Reinfarceruents, was wounded on September 21. Private Hyde was born in A-shburton, nnd educated at the Hnaapstead School. He ' was a painter by trade. His brother, Private W. G. Hyde, is serving with the Australians ifl i'Vjuee.

He was 28 years of age, and was born at Riverside, He was educated at'tlu* 'Riverside School, and later -Berrod 'JiiiT 1 .apprenticeship in the engineering works' oi P. and D. Duncan, Christchurch, and for some years attended fc'tu; engineering classes at Canterbury College.
