Tho sh'oop returns for the Dominion as at April 30, 1916, are now available, :uul th.v totals for each sheep district u.ro published in tho Abstract of Statistics for September/ together with tho«o of tho previous year and the various'-inmsifiCfi 01V-decreases.' It will be Bfto.ii th at tho'total, number of sheep in the Dominion (24,788,150) is ] 13,271 less than at April -30, 1915. Tho North Island showed ah increase of 564,883, but 1 this was more than counterbalanced by a. decrease oi (V 78.154 in the' South Island. \ Number of Sheep in the Dominion on April 30,1916.
