HAYWARD'S PICTURES
'The Famous Players film heading tho new bill introduced at His Majesty's Theatre last ovenin^, was responsible for a. full house, and the performance by Miss Marguerite Clarke, in the leading role, was the subject of uniformly enthusiastic comment. The plot of the play is ingeniously devised, the mounting i,s on a very exponsfve' scaleMany of the interior scenes (notablythe ball scene .in the early part) .are remarkably attractive to the eye, while the exterior setting is beautiful indeed. A pretty Hungarian costume serves to enhance- the witchery of Miss Clarke. The picture, which is in three parts, has not a dull moment to mar tho spec-' tators' enjoyment, and it may bo confidently recommended .as something much bptter than tho average. The" supporting films deal chiefly with the war. In one of them is contained a i very interesting, description pi the manner in which the British wounded are ministered to by the R.A.MI'C, from the moment of injury in the firing line to the period of convalescence. The programme will be repeated to-night.
