. LONDON, October 3. Mr. W. Beach Thomas gives a' cou~ ' tinuous record, individual and corporate, of the brilliant doeds of tiho New Zealanders. Scores of stories are -told of theirdaring. , -. . One sergeant, it is said,, snaked his way to, a' machine-gun emplacement,. " Continually during the advance," Mr Beach Thomas remarks, "wo havo been putting out of action many German batteries. Never 'previously havo the enemy's gunners so suffered, our direct hits repeatedly smashing . their batteries, which lire frequently seen lying broken under twisted girders." Thore' hav*e been many instances of ' tho German fright referred to in tho " Bavarian order of the day. They are now largely increasing,' particularly in' the form ■of . wisd rifle-fire anil useless-bomb-throwing. , Keutor's correspondent .at .
