THE RUA CASE.
AUCKLAND, October 3. An "eloment of doubt" was the reason given by the "jury in the Supreme Court for* returning a verdict of ribt guilty in .the case of Tuke Tuko Kav nara, a follower of Rua, who was charged with int-ention to do grievous bodily harm to Constable Skinner 'and attempting to discharge a gun at him at Maungapohatu .on April 2, "the date of the " prophet's " "arrest. The case had occupied seven days.
